Well, yesterday was just peachy. I got a ton of stuff accomplished outside of the house, although the inside of the house looks like a FEMA response area.
We (me and the monsters) got up and went to home depot….we got a new ceiling fan for mom and dad’s bedroom as the existing fan is just about the biggest fire hazard in the world. So…from there, we made the 12 mile drive and dropped the fan off at the house.
I must have been feeling very brave or something….but we went to super wal.mart. I loaded the kids in to one cart, which I never do and went in to the foyer. The only “double cart” they had not only was missing a strap, it had a broke connector on the waist band too. So, being the B*ITCH that I am, I complained to the store manager. I advised that IF my child fell out of the seat and got hurt, I would sue the crap of of walmart and her, since I had brought the poor conditions of the cart to her attention. She advised that they had “ordered” new straps and that they should be arriving any time. Apparently, they do safety audits (cough cough bull*hit)…… Anyway, I got to vent and chew up at 20 some year old manager…which my hubby knows is my favorite thing to do.
I was the Queen of Retail…..I was a Manager. If you can handle me, you can handle everything. Because if the mood strikes I will pick you, your product, your service, your food, your attitude, your family, and your car apart. I am the kind of person that can find a regional manager’s home phone number and call them in the middle of the night to tell him all about what a horrible experience I had in your store and how I may be left with nothing to do but contact the media.
Yeah….I’m a B*ITCH!!!!!!!!!!!
So, After we got home, the kids went down for a nap…and shhhhh….don’t tell…..so did I.
I had my first live yoga class last night. I was the youngest person there by at least 15 years. It wasn’t as advanced as I thought it would be and I realized that I am more flexible than most people. How cool is that??? So I have 4 more Friday Night dates with the yoga gang, There was a lot of breathing and meditation but I would have liked more stretching…..oh well….that is what Namaste Yoga is for…I did feel great when I got home.
I want to try to get to the gym today and also over to Trader Joes…..they lave langostino lobsters on sale…..Yummmo!

So they kids had their 15 month check up (and yes, I am aware that they are 16 months old). They got two shots and were little champs about it. They walked all over the office and at the end, Melissa took my hand and walked out and Daniel took the hubby’s hand and did the same thing. I think they were showing off….just a little.
So, brace yourselves….I have their stats!!!
Daniel…my little tiny man…who weighed a mere 4.2lbs when he came home from the NICU….
Weight: 29lbs 6oz (92nd percentile) Height: 33 inches (90th percentile)
Melissa…my little mouse….who was always just a little bigger than her brother….
Weight: 26 lbs 13oz (90th percentile) Height: 34 inches (greater than the 97th percentile)
Yeah, so we grow them big here in the Philly suburbs.
Daniel does have to go and get some more blood drawn to rule out food allergies…(gee wouldn’t it have been nice if the pediatrician told me there was a blood test available….I cancelled the allergist appointment anyway….) and she also gave him some new antihistamines and cream from crotch rot…and the office visit was F R E E! Yes, I love the new insurance that the kids have……so worth $80 per month!!!!
I have heard that if you measure a little girl’s height when she is two, and then double it, it will give you an estimate of how tall she will be full grown……yeah…..she’s almost 3 feet tall now……looks like she and I need to sit down and start discussing basketball…….
Oh….and they both slept the ENTIRE night…no middle of the night bottle. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO! And it is going to be 60 here today….so guess who is loading up her giant children and getting the heck out of the house today!
Again…….WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
(sorry….I am a little excited)
Mama = having a good day for once! Yippee for Me!
Just being cute

I am kind of disappointed about the weather today. I was hoping that I would be able to get the kids out of the house for a little today, and get some shopping done at Wal.mart. We are out of Mum Mums, almost out of Puffs and nearly out of baby food. We have been introducing more and more “adult” food to the kids, but as far as veggies go, the only way to get them to eat them is in baby food form.
Yesterday, Melissa decided that she would surprise me. I was laying on the floor in the baby jail. Usually, Daniel or Melissa will come over and lift my shirt up, either the give me Zurbups (Melissa) or to play with my belly button (Daniel)….. well, Melissa gave me my zurburp….but then she bit me. Hard! I still have a welt in the shape of her teeth. Then she did it again. She is a biter. I was a biter when I was little…but I have no idea how to stop her from biting. When we were bathing the kids last night, I noticed that Daniel had bite marks on his arm and his back. I don’t know what I can do……anyone have any insight?
Oh…and we will be getting out of the house today. We get to go to the pediatrician this afternoon. Boy are they gonna be ticked that I cancelled the allergist appointment. Oh well………
Dad and Grandma got back safely….I feel so much better knowing that Grandma is being taken care of. (Not that I am insinuating that other members of my family are mistreating her….but it wouldn’t be the first time).
And, lastly…..I watched Dr. Phil yesterday. Yes, he had Octomom on……and now I really want to smack her. She said that she had “always” had 6 embryos transferred…..and ended up with singleton pregnancies……..or twin pregnancies. Ummmm….if these were frozen embryos……how many did she have to start with! Holy crap! We had 11 fertilize…….and we transferred 3. We are DONATING the rest…….unselfishly……
Eye thought this was pretty cool….

Niobe had a great idea for this meme….and “eye” thought this was pretty cool. Be sure to stop by her site!!!

my eye....
I swore when I was young that I was adopted….my mother, father and sister all have blue eyes…..I am the oddball…. Now I am still the oddball….the hubby, the son and the daughter, all have blue eyes…..it’s me and the dogs…….
I’m Okay, You’re Okay…..But Octomom is crazy…..

I am so glad to finally not have any “drama” to talk about. Things here are okay. The hubby is okay, the kids are okay, I am okay……
Daniel woke up once in the night, which was a relief since the poor little guy just can’t seem to get that last molar above the gum.
I had a great workout at the gym yesterday when the hubby got home from work. I am really starting to notice some changes in my body. I have a waist again! Yipee!!!! And I am making pretty quick work of reducing the “jiggle factor” in certain parts. Man, I wish I would have done this before I got married so I didn’t look like a big white cow! Now, if I could get over my addiction to Mexican Food….I might actually lose some more weight.
Speaking of Mexican food…if you love it, and are feeling inspired to try to make it yourself, please stop by and check out on of my new favorites blogs……there are a bunch of recipies (authentic) that I am going to try……especially the tomatillo salsa….
So, at the moment, my father is back on the west coast to pick up my Grandmother and fly her back. She has been visiting with my uncle (who I haven’t seen in 20+ years) and his family. She will be back with my parents and make the big move down here in a few weeks. I travelled extensively for work and can’t help but worry about my dad and his 94 year old mother getting stranded in an airport somewhere.
And….
I know I promised…..
But I can’t resist…..
OCTOMOM…..
is staying in a hotel and hasn’t seen her “other” children in more than a week.
and did you check out the interview…..what a B*TCH!!!!!!!!!! I just so want to smack her……..

Well, it was finally a calm weekend around here. Saturday night was our monthly “Date Night”. E, our sitter came over at 7 pm Saturday night, the kids were already in their cribs and pretty much crashed out since they took another afternoon nap strike. We decided that we would go to the same mexican restaurant that we went to last month. I love this place. It is small, but they are so nice and the food is the best mexican food I have had in years.
I ordered the enchilladas in red pepper sauce. It came with rice and beans. Well, my eyes were much bigger than my stomach and I couldn’t finish my dinner….but it was amazing. The hubby had tostadas and managed to chip yet another tooth….poor guy….he goes back to the dentist on Wednesday.
After supper, we went to the firehouse for “dance night”. We haven’t been out for a dance night in ages….since September…..and we had a nice time. Several of our friends were there and everyone seemed to be a good mood. I was very well behaved…we got home at midnight to find that the kids had slept right through for E. I keep telling her that one of these nights, the kids will act up and she will have her hands full. But so far, they have been angels for her.
Yesterday, we stayed in. It was a quiet day. I made pumpkin muffins as a snack for me and the kids. I also put a roast in the crock pot…..I made homemade gravy and the hubby loved it. I have to admit it was pretty tasty…..Note: secret ingredients included can of au jus, montreal steak seasoning and some emerils…….
Daniel’s 4th molar is ALMOST through……I sure wish it would just get here so the little guy could get some sleep. He was up 3 times last night….screaming bloddy murder.
And this morning, the kids were up at 6:30. I brought them down, fed them and put them in baby jail. At 8:30, I attempted to do my namaste yoga routine while watching fitTV. Well, it is really hard to concentrate on your poses and breathing when your daughter is beating the crap put of your son. After the yoga show was over, there was a “boot camp” workout…..and Melissa decided that she would join right in. She stood in her toy box and had her arms going like you wouldn’t believe. It was adorable.
So things here are settling down. Thank God…..
I cancelled Daniel’s allergist appointment as I just cannot fathom torturing my son with skin tests. We are going to hold off on that as long as possible.
I promise that I will catch up reading everyone’s blogs….
I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words of support. The hugs, well wishes and prayers are working……
