Update on the hubby…

So he has been having some chest pains and palpitations.  He finally relented and went to the doctor.  The doctor gave him an EKG and said it didn’t look “too bad”.  But, the doctor wants him to have a stress test and wear a holter monitor for 24 hours so they can try to figure out what is going on.

I know that I am scared to death thinking of the possibility that there could be something seriously wrong.  I mean, he is going to be 50.  He hasn’t exactly lived a healthy life.  He works around nasty chemicals all day long.  He doesn’t have a stress outlet.  He doesn’t have friends.  If you add it all up, it is a really scary thought.

I called the place where he is supposed to have the tests done and they can’t do the stress test until the 21st of October.  They can do the holter monitor on Monday.  The doctor wanted to see him back in two weeks to go over blood work and to compare results.  So, I called the doctors office and have to call again Monday so they can make this place get him in sooner.  The doctor also said that if he had any more symptoms, that he was to go to the hospital.  I can’t imagine dragging the kids to the ER and trying to keep them under control for hours.  It sucks not having family around to watch the kids.

I don’t know what I would do without him.

Please think good thoughts and say a prayer for him.

It is scary to think something could happen to our husbands. Although they can grate our nerves they are the father of our kids and that is huge! I will praying that your husband is healthy and stays that way.

I will make sure that I include him in my nightly prayer. Please let him know that there are a lot of people out there (all your e-friends) that wish him nothing but the best.

If you had to go to the ER and I lived close to you, I would go with you to help with the kids. Being a new mom myself, I completely understand the meaning of the word “help” these days.

I really hope he’ll be okay! I can only imagine how scared you are for his health. I’ll keep him in my prayers!
