Good Days and Bad Days

Posted: October 30, 2008 in Uncategorized

Yesterday was a good day.  I seemed to deal with most of the disasters that happened fairly well.  We have a leak in our roof over our back hall.  A friend who has done work for us in the past came over and cut a hole on the drywall to reseal some of the nail holes where the water was coming in.  In the process, he managed to trip the breaker and couldn’t figure out how to turn it back on.  That meant no power to the back hall or the half bathroom.  He finally figured it out after about an hour of us worrying if we were going to have to call an electrician to come in .  We had steak and potatoes for supper and played with the kids until bedtime.  Then we watched the Phillies win the world series.  So, it was a pretty good day.

Today, not such a good day.  The hubby is in a strange mood.  He is still very obviously mad at me about everything that happened nearly two weeks ago.  Then, we find out that the health care premiums for his employer provided health insurance are going up 20%.  We were considering getting “Chip” insurance for the kids, since it covers more and is far less expensive.  Well, I cannot, for love, nor money, find our tax returns from last year.  I have looked everywhere I can think of.  And, I found out that I will most likely have to take a remedial math course before I can even think of starting any of the nursing courses.  Yeah, I haven’t done or thought about algebra since 1989…….

It just all seems so daunting.  Whay can’t just one thing in my life be easy.

Oh, and Daniel gave himself a black eye last night by whacking his head on the toy box.

Oh, and the Hubby doesn’t want to take the kids trick or treating.  He thinks they are too young.

What could possibly be next???????????

You can request a copy of any tax return (IRS.gov and download form 4506). It costs $57 unfortunately. Things are gonna get better!!

It would be way cuter for the kids to be handing out candy to the big kids 🙂

What are the little ones going to be??

If you say Phillies fans, I’m gonna be very disappointed. Obviously, they wear Phillies gear every other day and so it wouldn’t count as a costume!

    Thinking of you.
