to exclude “negative” influences in my life (both in real life and online…i.e.facebook)

If I want to be stabbed in the back, I will mount a knife to a door and back into it myself.  I certainly don’t need so-called “friends” lining up to do it.

So I have “blocked” negative influences and I feel better about it.  Several of them know about my blog and if they decide that it is still any of their business to read this, that is on them.  If they are that desperate for rumor fodder….I will just pray for them.  I live in a small town and there is no real practical way to escape from all the small town “bitty hens”.

Sorry, I did not intend for this post to come across as being so negative…..

I must be in one of my moods……

  1. I applaud you for doing this. I am putting up a post on Wednesday about Facebook privacy and one of my rules that people need to follow is to stop adding everybody they come across in real life.

If they do they are just adding more and more people into their business without filtering who is actually their friend and who will stab them in the back.

It sucks that people have nothing better to do. I am sorry you had such a rough time with nosey bitties!

I have decided not to blog about my personal life for a while. I don’t know if I will ever go back to doing that or not. I’ve started enjoying my privacy. Having to defend myself to strangers who believed they knew more about me than they do finally wore me out. I met some nice people in blog land and facebook, but I decided the negative energy just outweighed the positive too often. For now I am still blogging sometimes, just not about anything too personal. The fact that I am talking to you now means that you are one of the ones I consider ‘nice’. Take care.
